The room was comfortable, we checked out at 4am so it was pretty quiet, but we still could hear people in the halls and the room above us. The staff were kind of rude, and getting to and from the airport was hell. We were told to be in reception 20 minutes before we had to be at the airport. We were at reception 30 minutes before, and it took the driver 20 minutes to come get us, and that was only after the front desk staff called again. Getting back from the airport was bad too. We are from Canada, so didn't have cell service in Detroit, and there were no pay phones in the airport. We ended up getting a security guard to call for us, but 30 minutes passed and there was still no van. We had to borrow a phone from a nice stranger so we could call again. We will not be staying here again!

Easy check-in and check-out. Hotel was fine for the price. I was told the shuttle would arrive within 20 minutes for our departing shuttle, and it took around 30 minutes to arrive.

Very rude person at the front desk during check in. The return shuttle was not able to be reached because we were not able to ahold of anyone at the number they provided. Parking lot was very small and unsecure. The truck next to us on our return was on blocks because the wheels had been stolen. Never again will we stay there!

The hotel was loud, the beds were ridiculously uncomfortable, the room was filthy, and the entire place smelled like smoke. We were led to believe we were going to be parking in a secure lot only to find out we were simply parking in the hotel lot. The shuttle took 15 minutes to get there once we asked the front desk to call it. Upon arriving home we called for the shuttle on the way to ground transportation only to be told we had to be at ground transportation before calling. Once at ground transportation (2 minutes later) there was no answer for 5-7 minutes of consecutive calling. After finally getting through it took about 10 minutes for the shuttle. Meanwhile all other airport shuttles (Quik Park, US Park, and others) had several drop-off and pick-ups. We had to load and unload our own bags onto and off of the shuttle while the rude driver just watched and hurried us. Then there are signs inside the shuttle encouraging tips for the driver. Once we got back to the hotel we went inside to use the restroom (with my 3 and 5 year old). We were rudely told that there was no bathroom for us to use and were asked if we had a reservation. I informed the employee that we had a park-sleep-fly reservation and we were instructed to go next door to Wendy's to use their restroom. We have done park-sleep-fly before at other hotels and were satisfied. Never, Never, Never again at the Knights Inn.

While the hotel room was clean, it was clearly dated and could have used an update. The staff I interacted with were universally helpful and polite, and service is important to me.
